SQ1 NEW COMPLETED KITCHEN COMMISSION.
So...where have I been? Answer....Finsbury Park. Enjoying some really great weather whilst installing one of my favourite kitchens to date. Tom & Mirjam have been excellent clients, fun to work with & open to suggestion, making for a very creative experience.
Our work was cut out though. The space was originally part of the drawing room, with very VERY bad lath & plaster walls. So steps were taken to remove a door way, re-engineer the existing wall, clad it 19mm birch ply & then plaster board, to give a really flat & load bearing finish.
Before...
Plumbing & electrics were concealed under floor boards & chased into walls. Plus the chimney breast was redesigned to incorporate the cooker extractor. Designs were settled upon. Materials included oak veneered cabinets with solid oak edges. Solid oak, dovetailed drawer boxes with Blum blumotion soft closes. Sarum grey Formica laminated doors & drawer fronts with routed handle detail. A mix of wall hung storage units & floating shelves with integrated up & down lighters. Plus 30mm white composite worktop.
I am really pleased with the end result but don't take my word for it,
